AirPower’s patent application describes a proposed dual-cycle system combining CO₂-driven air compression, heat storage, and staged compressed-air delivery. Planned next steps include testing and prototype development.

Article heading:
AirPower Announces Patent Application for Ambient-Air Heat-Energy Technology

AirPower, LLC’s September 2026 executive summary identifies U.S. Patent Application No. 19/755,207, “Heat Energy from Ambient Air Harnessing,” filed July 27, 2026. The application names Robert D. Hunt, Sr., founder of AirPower, as inventor.

A Proposed Integrated Energy System

The design combines a closed CO₂ power-cycle arrangement with an open atmospheric-air cycle. Opposed piston assemblies, heat-storing recuperators, and compressed-air accumulators form central elements of the proposed machine.

Its intended outputs include heating, cooling, refrigeration, ventilation, water recovery, mechanical work, electricity, and propulsion applications.

Moving Toward Testing

AirPower’s stated next steps include a high-pressure CO₂ test stand and an instrumented prototype of the dual-cycle engine. Performance figures and operating objectives in the executive summary have not yet been demonstrated in an operating prototype.

The company is seeking development partners, licensees, and investors to support further work.
